The right(s) moment is now! - The AHRI/COST Annual Conference

Organised by COST Action IS0702 'The Role of the EU in UN Human Rights Reform', the conference provided a forum for human rights experts from the leading European academic networks (Association of Human Rights Institutes – AHRI, European Cooperation in Science and Technology – COST, European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation – EIUC) to discuss their ideas with high-level representatives of the United Nations and the European Union.

Academia Europaea 23rd Annual Conference "Chemistry, Sciences, Culture and Society in the making of Europe"

The 23rd Annual Conference of Academia Europaea was held in 2011, the International Year of Chemistry which also corresponds to the 100th Anniversary of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry awarded in 1911 to Marie Curie, for her discovery of radium and polonium. Dr Ángeles Rodríguez-Peña, President of the COST Committee of Senior Officials, gave a presentation at the event.

The aim of the COST Strategic Workshop series 2010-2011 was to carry out a wide-angle foresight exercise on the future demand for multiple forest-based products and services. The project combined expert workshops and a collection of data and perceptions by means of internet-based tools.
