Green Engineering Camp

The Green Engineering Camp (GEC) is a pilot COST Interdisciplinary Science Initiative aimed at engaging specifically early stage researchers and investigators in real-life applications and intelligent and innovative uses of green ICT in order to boost knowledge transfer efficiently and to initiate new ideas and solutions to current and future challenges. Currently, a call for ideas is ongoing to select the most innovative ideas to present!

The ACES, now in their third year, are the only pan-European awards for enterprise in university and public research institutes. Promoting Research Integrity in Europe

The COST Office kickstarted the 2011 COST Seminar series by looking at a matter of worldwide concern: Research Integrity. At the Second World Conference on this topic, a key outcome was the agreement to the Singapore Statement which sets out 4 principles and 14 responsibilities which should be followed by researchers worldwide. Tony Mayer and Professor Nicholas H. Steneck, Co-Chairs of the First and Second World Conferences on Research Integrity, presented the Singapore Statement and Laura Marin, Science Officer at the European Science Foundation, introduced the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity. They discussed how to promote research integrity to the highest level throughout.

COST and EUREKA joined forces in June 2007, combining a COST Strategic Workshop with a EUREKA project brokerage event within the area of aquaculture.
